What position am I in Google?

Where am I in Google?

This helps me when I’m trawling through Google search results trying to find out what position a website is for a specific keyword phrase. This is normally not too bad but if you are checking under a competitive keyword phrase then you could easily sit on page #315. This cut down version of Google proves very useful. A combination of “find on page” and “Tab then Enter” will kump you to the next 100 results.

If anyone knows of a better way to check this let me know. I tried an app before but It banned me from google wehn I tried to check past 40 pages on one query.

Have you tried the ‘Rank Checker’ plugin for Firefox?

Plenty of other apps out there too, although some charge.

@Ubisan: I’ll try Rank Checker out but I think Search Status is my fav SEO firefox add on. Although Link Diagnosis is a great web app and they have a firefox add on now too. I use the combination below for my other seo tasks:

http://www.google.com/.co.uk – for the number of results, page rank of the the top ranking sites and of course for my position in Google.

Google insights – for trend mapping.

Google keyword tool -for a better view of how competitive and achievable a keyword phrase is.

Anyone else got any other desert island SEO apps or tricks? When I say tricks I dont mean cheating.
